Quazi Fahim Mohammadullah
Founder & President (2019 – August 2020)
Quazi Fahim is a passionate changemaker and the driving force behind BASICS, an organization built on care, teamwork, and purpose. His journey began in 2018, when he and a few close friends started small charitable activities with the hope of helping people. The positive impact of those early efforts inspired him to officially start BASICS in January 2019, turning a heartfelt idea into a structured effort for social good. From the very beginning, BASICS has reflected Fahim’s belief in working together and sharing a vision. As the founding president, he brought together friends and volunteers who shared the same care and drive, making sure that everyone could use their unique skills. Under his leadership, the team organized fundraisers, awareness campaigns, and community projects that reached people not only in Dhaka but also in other parts of Bangladesh. By combining vision with hands-on involvement, Fahim made sure that every project stayed true to BASICS’ core values and made a real, lasting difference. Over the years, the organization’s work has grown to include festival support during Eid and Pahela Baishakh, as well as relief work during hard times like the COVID-19 pandemic. BASICS has provided food, clothes, and financial help to laborers and marginalized families, and partnered with organizations such as Uttara Chinnomul Shishu Kollan Shongstha (UCSKS) to fund renovations and projects that directly help local communities. In just 1.5 years, BASICS raised around 1.1 million BDT, which has been used to support and help more than 6,000 people. Through important initiatives such as Project S1, Project Awareness, Project Relief, and others, the organization has given essential aid, educational support, and community help to those who need it most. What started as a small effort among friends has grown into a bigger movement based on kindness and purpose. Fahim continues to lead with dedication and hope, working to touch more lives, help more futures, and show that even small acts of care can make a lasting difference.
Nadim Khan
Acting President (2020–Present) Former Vice President (2019–2020)
Nadim Khan is a committed humanitarian and a driving force behind the organization’s continued growth and impact. Beginning his journey as Vice President in 2019, he played a pivotal role in expanding community programs and fostering sustainable donor relationships. Since assuming the role of Acting President in 2020, Nadim has led with compassion and vision, overseeing key initiatives in education, healthcare, and food distribution for marginalized populations. His academic journey reflects his dedication to learning and leadership. Nadim studied at Northern University Bangladesh – Permanent Campus, after completing his earlier education at Nawab Habibullah Model School & College and RAJUK Uttara Model College, institutions known for their academic excellence and community values. Through both his leadership and personal commitment, Nadim continues to be a beacon of hope, working tirelessly to uplift lives and strengthen the organization’s mission of service.
BASICS has grown through teamwork and shared purpose, welcoming friends and volunteers to lead meaningful projects across Dhaka and beyond. From festival support to crisis relief, we’ve provided food, clothing, and aid to those in need, often partnering with organizations like UCSKS. Initiatives like Project S1, Project Awareness, and Project Relief reflect our belief that small acts of kindness can spark lasting change.
Choyon Hasan
Chief Operating Officer (2020–2022)
Choyon Hasan served as the Chief Operating Officer from 2020 to 2022, bringing strong leadership and operational expertise to the organization during a critical phase of growth. With a hands on approach and a deep commitment to humanitarian service, he played a key role in streamlining operations, improving program delivery, and ensuring the efficient use of resources across all initiatives. Under his guidance, several major projects were executed successfully, including educational support for underprivileged children, emergency relief distribution, and community outreach campaigns. Choyon’s dedication to transparency, teamwork, and long term impact helped strengthen the foundation of the organization and set the stage for continued success. His tenure remains marked by professionalism, accountability, and a genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of those most in need.
Jahid Hasan
Treasurer (2019–Present)
Jahid Hasan has been serving as the Treasurer of the organization since 2019, playing a vital role in maintaining financial transparency and accountability. With a strong sense of integrity and precision, he has overseen budgeting, financial planning, and donor fund management with utmost care and responsibility. His commitment to ethical financial practices has ensured the efficient allocation of resources across all programs, from education and healthcare to emergency relief. Jahid’s meticulous oversight has helped build trust among donors, partners, and the communities the organization serves. Dedicated and dependable, Jahid continues to contribute significantly to the organization’s mission of uplifting lives through responsible and impactful charitable work.
Mehedi Hasan
Operation Coordinator (2020–Present)
Mehedi Hasan has been serving as the Operation Coordinator since 2020, playing a crucial role in the planning and execution of the organization’s on ground activities. With a strong focus on efficiency and impact, he oversees day to day operations, ensuring that programs run smoothly and reach those who need them most. Known for his dedication, problem solving skills, and hands on leadership, Mehedi has been instrumental in coordinating logistics for education drives, food distributions, and emergency relief efforts. His ability to manage teams and respond quickly to challenges has significantly strengthened the organization’s field operations. Mehedi’s commitment to service and operational excellence continues to be a key driver behind the success of the organization’s initiatives.

They are individuals from all walks of life who have chosen to give their time, energy, and hearts to serve those in need. Whether distributing food, supporting education, or simply offering a kind word to someone in distress they are the ones turning empathy into action. Their selfless efforts remind us that real change begins with those who dare to care. With every step they take, our volunteers carry a powerful message: even the smallest act of kindness can create a ripple of hope.
